Cyberpunk (City Paper column from a long, long time ago . . . .)

Found this while digging through boxes. I remember hand coding websites for all the ads in Baltimore Resources (a new age/holistic health tabloid) until my wrists felt like they were going to snap off. It all began the day one of the publishers, Robin Raindrop, sat with me while I fired up an application called Mosaic, listened to the squeal of our 19 baud modem connecting, and tapped into this new thing called the "World Wide Web." Robin and I were grinning like idiots—we knew, after clicking around on the few primitive sites, that this was gonna be big.

It seems like an aeon ago.
