Here is the only known recording of "Blackwater Lights," an Appalachian folk song about the legendary mystery lights (or "ghost lights") of Blackwater, West Virginia. The artist is listed as T. "Dutch" Daniels on the tape cover and it is dated 1948. This was recorded from a reel-to-reel tape from the private collection of librarian Denny Huffington and converted to mp3 for digital distribution.

T. "Dutch" Daniels was a Blackwater coal miner who went missing in 1950, according to the Blackwater Gazette. There is no record of his ever being found.
